Abstract Through the generosity of Mary Collins Wendel, this collection moved from her husband's office to the Saint Louis University Archives after Wendel's death. The bulk of the material concerns redevelopment and civic improvement efforts in the St. Louis metropolitan area, with significant sections on the Pruitt-Igoe public housing project, reorganization of St. Louis city and County government, and the annexation and incorporation of area communities.
